Curlew Cottage is tucked above Stanhope, a traditional, stone built cottage with fantastic features. The lawned and terraced gardens look out over the Wear Valley, which provides visitors with some stunning views of the area and a chance to spot some of the varied local wildlife.

Shops and inns are a short walk away from the property, and popular attractions including Barnard Castle, Hexham and Durham are a short drive away, making them ideal options for day trips. Curlew Cottage’s location also makes it ideal as a beginning point for many fell and riverside walks, allowing visitors to take in the beauty of the surrounding areas at their own pace. And with the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the Border region situated a drive away, visitors will be spoilt for choice when it comes to seeing some of nature’s finest work.
